Turtle Cookies Recipe

Rich, fudgy, chewy banana brownies are created with creamy bananas. The brownies' rich chocolate flavor is complemented by ripe bananas and chocolate chips. Easy-to-make banana brownies are the perfect treat.

-⅔ cup mashed banana -½ cup unsalted butter -½ cup (3 oz.) semi sweet chocolate chips -1 cup granulated sugar -2 large eggs -1 teaspoon vanilla extract -¼ teaspoon salt

INGREDIENTS

-⅓ cup Dutch processed -¼ teaspoon baking powder -½ cup (60 g) all purpose flour -½ cup (3 oz.) chocolate chips or chunks

Oven to 350 F (177 C). Parchment an 8x8 pan bottom and sides. Smoothly mash two medium bananas without lumps. Use a cup to measure mashed banana.

Put unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Mix melted butter and chocolate well. Stir ingredients in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time until melted and combined.

Replace the mixing dish in the microwave after barely whisking in the granulated sugar. Now fully incorporate sugar into melted butter and chocolate. The mixture can be cooled to warm for 5 minutes.

Mix eggs, mashed bananas, vanilla, chocolate powder, and salt until glossy. The bowl has many whisks.  Drip batter from the flexible spatula or spoon.

Pour banana-mashed brownies evenly into the pan. Bake 30–40 minutes. Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with wet crumbs. Test 30 minutes.

Brownies need 5–10 minutes more if the toothpick comes out moist. Let brownies cool in pan at room temperature for an hour. Set the brownies in the fridge for another hour.

Use the parchment paper overhang to remove brownies from pan before serving. Brownies can be served with whipped cream, banana slices, or alone.
