Cherry Cookies Recipe

Cherry cookies are buttery shortbread drop biscuits with maraschino cherries and almond taste. These pink maraschino cherry cookies are the perfect quick and easy cherry sugar cookie recipe for any occasion.  

-2 cups all purpose flour -½ cup almond flour -¼ teaspoon salt -1 cup unsalted butter -¾ cup granulated sugar -1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice -1 teaspoon vanilla extract -½ teaspoon almond extract -½ cup chopped maraschino cherries

INGREDIENTS

Mix the almond flour, salt, and all-purpose flour in a bowl until thoroughly blended. Put aside.

Beat the room-temperature butter and sugar together thoroughly using an electric hand mixer with beaters or a stand mixer with a paddle attachment.

On medium speed, this takes roughly three to four minutes. Blend the dry ingredients until they are just blended with the wet components.

Just incorporate the chopped maraschino cherries by folding them in. Preheat the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius) while the cookies are chilling.

Apply parchment paper edges of two large baking sheets. The cherry sugar cookies should be baked for 14 minutes. The cookies' bottoms will have a very slight golden brown color.
