Peanut Butter Mug Cake Recipe

Chewy peanut butter cookies are soft, chewy, richly buttery cookies made with peanut butter. The homemade peanut butter cookies have a dusting of sugar on top.   

-1¼ cups all purpose flour -½ teaspoon salt -½ teaspoon baking soda -¼ teaspoon baking powder -½ cup unsalted butter -¾ cup light brown sugar -¼ cup granulated sugar -1 large egg -1 large egg yolk -2 teaspoons vanilla extract -½ cup creamy peanut butter

INGREDIENTS

Heat oven to 350 F (177 C). Prepare two baking sheets with parchment. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

In another large basin, mix butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed for 1–2 minutes. Combine egg, egg yolk, vanilla, and smooth peanut butter on low.

Mix dry and wet components gently. Very soft dough. Peanut butter cookie dough balls are scooped for baking. If not, chill dough 20–30 minutes.

Scoop Place 2 teaspoons (30 ml) soft peanut butter cookie dough on a baking sheet. Place 8 pb cookie dough balls 2–3 inches apart on the baking sheet. Add granulated sugar.

Traditional peanut butter cookies bake in 10–12 minutes. Set, light-golden brown edges. After 3–5 minutes, remove cookies from heated baking sheet and cool on rack. Enjoy!
