Peanut Butter Mug Cake Recipe

Soft, fudgy mug peanut butter cake. A few simple ingredients make this 3-minute peanut butter microwave cake. Top this peanut butter mug cake with small peanut butter cups and creamy peanut butter for a decadent single-serve dessert.  

-1 tablespoon unsalted butter -3 tablespoon creamy peanut butter -3 tablespoons sugar -3 tablespoons milk -¼ teaspoon vanilla extract -⅛ teaspoon salt -¼ teaspoon baking powder -3 tablespoons purpose flour -2 tablespoons mini peanut butter cups


Get your favorite mug. It should contain 8 oz (240 ml) liquid.  Put butter in the mug. Melt butter in the microwave for 20–30 seconds.

Add the creamy peanut butter, sugar, milk, vanilla extract, salt, and baking powder and mix well.  Add flour and mix well.

Add chocolate chips, small peanut butter cups, or other mix now. I add some then top the peanut butter cake dough with extra.

Heat the peanut butter mug cake in the microwave for 90-120 seconds (1 ½-2 minutes). The mixture should rise like cake.

The mug cake may be underbaked or have moisture at the bottom, so microwave it for 20 seconds at a time until it reaches your desired consistency.

Let mug cake cool for 1 minute. Add more chocolate chips, small PB cups, or peanut butter and enjoy.
