Small Batch Brownies Recipe

These brownies are made in small batches and have a top that is perfectly shiny and crinkly. They are gooey, fudgy, and sooo tasty. They're so simple and tasty!  

– 60 g butter melted – 50 g dark chocolate chip – 50 g all-purpose flour – 30 g cocoa powder – 2 teaspoon cornstarch – ¼ teaspoon salt – 175 g granulated sugar – 2 large egg – 45 g oil canola or vegetable – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 50 g dark chocolate chips to fold into the batter – A sprinkle of sea salt


Start by preheating the oven to 160ºC /325ºF. Parchment a loaf pan. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan and whisk in the chocolate chunks.  

Step 1


Combine flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk eggs and granulated sugar in a bowl with an electric hand mixer for 4 minutes until light and frothy.   

Step 2

Mix the batter with melted butter, chocolate, oil, and vanilla essence. Add flour mixture to batter and gradually mix on lowest speed until mixed.   

Step 3

Scrape the bowl sides with a spatula and add more chocolate chips, storing some for the top. Fold them gently until mixed.  

Step 4

Sprinkle the remaining chocolate tips in the baking pan and smooth the batter with the spatula. Bake 45-50 minutes. Let cool before serving. Top with sea salt. If desired, add ice cream.
