Spanish-Inspired Tuna Patties And Shortcut Aioli Recipe

These 20-minute tuna patties with smokey paprika flavor are crunchy and go well with a fast garlicky sauce.  

– ½ cup mayonnaise – 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar, divided – 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon minced garlic, divided – 1 (12-ounce) can tuna, drained – 2 eggs, beaten – ½ cup panko breadcrumb – ¼ cup diced roasted red pepper – ¼ cup diced yellow onion – 2 tablespoons chopped parsley – 1 teaspoon smoked paprika – ¼ teaspoon salt – ¼ cup olive oil


Add 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, and mayonnaise to a separate bowl. Put away.  

Step 1

In a big bowl, mix together the tuna, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, paprika, salt, and the rest of the vinegar and garlic. Mix well.  

Step 2

Make 8 to 10 patties of the same size out of the tuna mixture. Turn on the stove to medium-high and add the olive oil to the big pan.  

Step 3

Put the tuna cakes in the pan and cook them for three to four minutes on each side, until they are brown and crispy.  

Step 4

If you want, you can serve it right away on a bed of veggies or a bun with lots of aioli.
